You just have to learn to look at knitting in a designing view. Like every time I work a pattern, I learn something from it, or I realize why a designer did one thing over another thing, sometimes I have to frog a whole sweater, but it's worth it to learn. It will come. Remember that I've been knitting since I was about 15, but I've been crochetting, sewing, etc..etc... as long as I can remember. I've got a good 20 years of experience in various design capacities. It comes with time and work, and alot of research.Miriamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04081728834896708644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10129212.post-1134145903622234072005-12-09T11:31:00.000-05:002005-12-09T11:31:00.000-05:00So obviously, you should just be knitting tank top...So obviously, you should just be knitting tank tops. ;)Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12959009113795804133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10129212.post-1134120252975018052005-12-09T04:24:00.000-05:002005-12-09T04:24:00.000-05:00Ok, you have to look your fear, or whatever it is,...Ok, you have to look your fear, or whatever it is, in the eye and tell him who is better. You, for sh*t's sake. Get to work on those sleeves and prove yourself wrong, no sleeve can hold such a power over you-now go and finish a sweater!
Of course, you could always frog and start a new one. Wimp!;)
Just trying to motivate you, we have to be honest with each other, right? :)))Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10129212.post-1134106788353835922005-12-09T00:39:00.000-05:002005-12-09T00:39:00.000-05:00Oy, sleeves - my personal nemesis. And I can't bear to pick up either. Instead I'm seriously considering casting on for the lace leaf shawl in that yummy zephyr...rincarohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08912519154250090214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10129212.post-1134089066405542482005-12-08T19:44:00.000-05:002005-12-08T19:44:00.000-05:00Do you want something off the shoulder like 'Tempt...Do you want something off the shoulder like 'Tempting 2' or more like 'Simply Marilyn' from IK? If you had a basic pattern to work from, a year's time should be enough to work out the pattern if you were inclined to do so...just a thought.
And that Cashsoft....you were going so strong! You can do it...you're so close. You *have* to finish it, so I can drool over it and *have* to buy the Cashsoft. (Goes off to justify spending more on yarn when stash is bigger than I am...)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02788800985773245111noreply@blogger.com
